Connect your AI assistant
Ask about your poker results, log sessions, and manage a live session from your preferred AI assistant. Overbet uses MCP, an open connection standard, so the same connection works across compatible assistants and models.
Explore what’s new in 7.1.0, including Siri on iPhone. The chat features below use your connected assistant; Siri actions are available separately in Overbet → Settings → Siri & Shortcuts.
What you can ask
Use the same filter categories as the app, and combine them in one request. Your assistant can discover the tags, games, and stakes you have used instead of asking you to remember their exact names.
- Year or month: results for 2026, September 2026, this month, this year, the last five years, or all time.
- Session type: live cash, live tournaments, online cash, online tournaments, or several types together.
- Tags: one tag or every selected tag together, including your custom tags.
- Game and stakes: one or more games, including custom games, and one or more cash stakes.
- Venue search: find Club WPT, Bellagio, or words in session names, types, games, tags, and visible stakes.
- Filtered totals: session count, hours, buy-ins, cash-outs, profit/loss, win rate, hourly rate, ROI, tournament wins, best finish, and final-table counts.
- Comparisons: compare years, months, tags, games, venues, or live and online play using the same remaining filters.
- Session lists: recent sessions or every matching session, including histories with more than 50 results. Ask for completed, playing, or paused sessions.
- Session actions: start, pause, resume, finish, or log a completed session; add on to cash, rebuy a tournament, or add a timeline note, chip count, and players remaining.
- Corrections and past sessions: correct dates, amounts, duration, type, game, stakes, tags, location, notes, and tournament details; log a session on the day you played.
- Notes and photos: recall a complete timeline, search saved notes using the same filters, and attach or retrieve session photos.
- CSV files: import completed sessions or export a filtered history in the app’s CSV format.
Filters combine: “Show my 2026 online cash sessions tagged Study and Vegas, playing NL or PLO at 1/2 or 2/5.” Both tags must be present; either selected game or stake can match. Stakes filters apply to cash sessions.
Totals include every matching completed session. Long lists arrive in pages, and your assistant can continue until all matches are retrieved. MCP uses the filters you ask for; it does not inherit the current filter selections on your phone.
A whole break update in one sentence
“We just went on break, I have 192 thousand chips, 567 players left.”
Pauses your live tournament and saves an “On break” timeline note with 192,000 chips and 567 players remaining, together.
Leave out players remaining if you do not know it. Your assistant should use the details you gave without asking for optional counts. If several sessions are live, name the venue or session so it updates the right one.
- “567 players left.” updates the field count while preserving your last recorded chip count and current pause status.
- “Back from break with 210k.” resumes play and saves a new count of 210,000 chips together.
- “Add a note: won a big pot with aces; 240k now.” saves the note and chip count together.
- “There were 1,200 entries; 567 players remain.” records total entrants and players remaining as separate tournament counts.
- “What was my last chip count and how many players were left?” returns the latest recorded counts for your live session.
- “We have a 15-minute break, 192k chips, 567 left.” saves the break update and schedules play to resume after 15 minutes.
- “I finished 13th out of 1,200 and cashed for $800.” finishes the tournament and records the cash-out and finishing position together.
Adding another count during a break keeps the original break start. Your assistant confirms the saved status and counts after the update succeeds. Zen and hide bankroll also hide chip counts from tool results.
Timed breaks end even when your phone and chat are closed. The saved status normally syncs within a minute of the deadline; playing time is calculated from the scheduled end. Resume early, extend the break, or cancel its timer while staying paused.
Correct a detail or log an earlier session
- “That Club WPT buy-in was $150, not $100.” corrects the total buy-in and recalculates the result.
- “Move Friday’s session to Thursday and add the Study tag.” changes the date and adds the tag while keeping other tags and activity.
- “Log last Saturday’s $100 online tournament on Club WPT: three hours, $250 cash-out, 8th of 400.” saves a completed session with the supplied date and result.
- “Append to that session’s note: review the river call.” adds text without replacing the existing note.
Corrections change only the fields you name. A buy-in correction replaces the total; a rebuy or add-on adds another payment. Dates use your saved account time zone, or UTC if none is saved. Your assistant can discover the account’s current date before resolving “yesterday” or “last Saturday.”
Recall notes, timelines, and photos
- “Show the full timeline and notes from my last Bellagio tournament.”
- “Find my 2026 sessions tagged Study where I wrote about aces.”
- “Attach this chip photo to my live session, caption: second break, 192k.”
- “Show me the photos from that session.”
Ordinary result queries keep notes and photos private. Asking for them uses dedicated recall tools, including for completed sessions. Zen and hide bankroll block note search, note text, and photo retrieval because they may contain amounts.
Photo upload needs an assistant that can pass the actual attached file to a tool; a filename or image preview alone is not enough. JPEG, PNG, and WebP photos up to 8 MB are supported. Retrieval needs a client that displays MCP images. Photos stay in your account’s storage.
Import and export your history
- “Export all my 2026 online tournaments tagged Study as CSV.”
- “Include my session notes and saved locations in that export.”
- “Check this Overbet CSV for errors before importing.”
- “Import the completed sessions from this CSV.”
Your assistant needs file tools to read an attached CSV or save an export. Each import batch accepts up to 200 sessions and 2 MB. A batch saves only when every row is valid, and retrying the same parsed CSV does not create duplicates. Larger files use multiple batches.
Exports use the same combined filters and continue in pages until all matches are retrieved. They contain completed session summaries, including dates, hours, amounts, tags, and finishing positions. Notes and coordinates are included only when requested; timeline entries and photos are separate from CSV. When amounts are hidden, exported money fields are blank and the file cannot serve as a complete import backup.
How to connect
- In Overbet → Settings → Connect Chats, turn on Allow connected chats
- Open the custom connector or MCP settings in your AI assistant
- Add server URL: https://overbet.app/mcp
- Sign in using the same Google, Apple, or email account you use in Overbet, then allow access
- Ask something about your sessions
Sign-in continues on tilt-me.firebaseapp.com, Overbet’s Firebase sign-in domain. Keep the connection page open while Google or Apple finishes, then return to it to allow your assistant access.
Choose your assistant
The server URL is always https://overbet.app/mcp. Your app must support remote MCP and OAuth; available connection options depend on the app, plan, and workspace settings.
- Grok: add a custom connector from Grok Connectors. Setup guide
- Grok Bot: use its MCP plugins and connector settings. Team connector policies apply. Connector access guide
- Claude: add a custom remote connector, then connect your Overbet account. Setup guide
- Cursor: add Overbet as a remote MCP server and complete browser sign-in. Setup guide
- Gemini: use Gemini CLI’s remote MCP support, then run
/mcp auth overbet. This setup is for Gemini CLI; other Gemini apps may expose different connection options. - OpenAI: use a custom MCP connection in ChatGPT or another OpenAI client with remote MCP support.
- Other assistants: use any client that supports Streamable HTTP MCP and OAuth with PKCE.
Good to know
- Uses your saved session type, game, and stakes unless you supply different values
- When several sessions are live, name the venue or session you want to update
- Zen and hide bankroll remove amounts from tool results
- Calendar filters use your saved account time zone, or UTC if none is saved
- Refuses if Connected Chats is off
- Overbet remains the source of truth
- https://overbet.app/mcp is the MCP API endpoint (this /docs/mcp/ page is the human guide)
- https://overbet.app/docs/mcp/skill.md is the public agent skill (same text the MCP server serves after OAuth)
An AI chat can attach a location you provide or share through its own location feature; Overbet’s remote connection cannot locate your phone.
Scopes
mcp:read (OAuth); session writes use the same connection when Connected Chats is on

Permissions and privacy
- mcp:read
- zen / hide bankroll omit money
- Stakes values and stakes filters are unavailable while amounts are hidden
- Connected Chats required
Connection limits
- Never invent session ids or money
- Refuse if connector off
- Ordinary result queries and venue search exclude private notes, coordinates, photos, and share tokens; dedicated note, photo, and CSV tools expose only the requested content
- File features depend on your assistant’s attachment, image, and file tools; support can differ between apps from the same provider
- Do not browse overbet.app for bankroll
- Add Overbet as a custom connection if it is not listed in your assistant’s marketplace
Troubleshooting
“Unable to process request due to missing initial state” during Google sign-in: close the failed sign-in window and start a fresh Overbet connection from your assistant. Keep the connection page open. If an embedded browser still prevents sign-in, open the connection in Safari or your regular browser and try again; the sign-in page also has an “open sign-in in a new tab” link. Email sign-in is available if your Overbet account already has an email/password sign-in method.
- 401 → sign in again
- Connected Chats off → enable in Settings
- GET /mcp → 405 is normal (POST only)
Your account stays in your control
Sign in on Overbet’s connection page. Your assistant receives access to Overbet tools without receiving your Overbet password. Turn off Allow connected chats in Overbet → Settings → Connect Chats to stop access.
